Theater department hosts ‘Check Please’ fundraiser

The Tiger Theater Company will be hosting a fundraising event titled “Check Please” with two performances on Friday and Saturday at Silvermoon on Broad.
“‘Check Please’ is a really funny comedy about a guy and a girl who go on a series of blind dates,” theater teacher Micah McBay said. ”Of course, none of the dates seem to work out with hilarious results.”
Proceeds from the event will go toward a trip to New York in June where members of the theater department will attend Broadway shows and participate in an acting workshop.
The noon performance on Friday is $20 and includes lunch from Twisted Vines; Friday’s 7:30 p.m. performance is $15 and includes dessert from Twisted Vines. On Saturday, the noon performance is $20, which includes lunch from Outback Steakhouse; the 7:30 p.m. performance is $15 with dessert provided by Old Tyme Burger.
“The show is pretty short,” McBay said, “and anyone coming to the show will get a great lunch or a great dessert and should be in and out in an hour or less.”
