Star receiver Tevailance Hunt of the 2018 recruiting class has been receiving offers over the last couple of weeks from a variety of division one football programs. This process began nationally for many seniors after national signing day on Feb. 7 and most incumbent seniors signed their letters of intent.

Hunt has received a variety of offers at Conference USA. Interest was sparked in his athletic prowess due to his speed and a 6-foot-1-inch frame matched with an uncommon jumping ability that makes him a powerful target for receiver.

“I got one from the University of North Texas, Arkansas State, Louisiana Tech, Bowling Green, Nevada, Iowa State,” Hunt said. “I haven’t picked an offer yet.”

Since then he has been approached about playing at Arkansas State, Bowling Green,  North Texas, Iowa State, Kansas, UCA . Hunt is quickly becoming a top statewide prospect as all in all he has had total seven scholarship opportunities before the beginning of his senior year.

Iowa State is among the largest schools to offer him a scholarship and last year went 3-9 in  Big 12 conference play.

“I’ve said I would go to Louisiana Tech because I like their facility and how they play,” Hunt said.

Hunt is the second Texas High receiver in the last two years to achieve multiple division one offers, the first being senior Quan Hampton who signed to play with Kansas, Iowa State’s divisional rivals.

Going into his senior year Hunt looks to lead the Tigers as the number one receiver on the depth chart and acquire even more scholarships down the line with impressive play.

“I think this upcoming football season would be the same other than making it further in the playoffs and staying if we get to playoffs and get past it,” Hunt said. “That means go undefeated.”
