MegaMind movie review

Story by Ellen Orr

MegaMind, which opened in theaters on Nov. 6, is a movie about an ingenious, misunderstood super-villain who ultimately rises above his evil tendencies when the love of a woman pushes him to do the unthinkable–become a hero.

Although obviously intended for children, MegaMind is filled with political humor that only an older crowd will appreciate. That, combined with a great storyline and hilarious dialogue, marks this Dreamworks creation as a success.

Additionally, this tale of bad-gone-good is sure to pull at your heartstrings and provoke any viewer to become attached with our evilly sympathetic main character. Will Ferrell, Tina Fey and Brad Pitt are only three of many great voices in the film. Be sure to catch it in 3-D, as this is one of the few movies out today in which the effects are used appropriately and well.
