As most know, Tigers Got Talent is a “tigerfied” version of America’s Got Talent. It was created as a fundraiser for theater, but this year all proceeds go to Texas High’s Student Council “We Are 2012” fundraiser.
After a long wait and a lot of hard work from the participants the results are in, and due to a tie, there will be 13 acts competing in the finals instead of 12.
“I thought the results came out to be a good group of kids,” theater teacher Micha McBay said. “The results were close to what we had predicted.”
The finalists for round one are as follows: Josh Elrod, Cara Fowler, Jordan Galbert, Ivory Jackson and Jasmine Batton, Jekel Lewis and Mackenzie Nixon
“I have no clue who might win,” McBay said. “If I had to pick someone who might win, I would say a singer because there are more of them.”
The finalist for round two are as follows: Tara Clem, Kererra Harfield, Jasmine Harris, Heather Lanier and Alex Walker, Breawna Macool, Caroline Parks, and Rachel Qualls.
The finals will take place on Friday, Dec. 9 in the John Thomas Theater, which is located inside the Sullivan Performing Arts Center. Tickets can be purchased at the door, and voting will be on Knomi after the show to decide the winner. The winners will be announced Dec. 14 on TigerVision, who is co-producing the event with theater.
