This Saturday, Aug. 12, a back-to-school dance will be held to raise money for community service. The dance, called the Spin Off, is open to all high school students in the Texarkana area. The Spin Off will be held from 7-10 p.m. at the Arkansas side Elks Lodge, 4701 Garland Avenue. The theme is outer space, so wear anything glow-in-the-dark, holographic or glittery. Wristbands will be sold at the door for $12, or contact Maddie Gerrald, Morgan Cook, Matt Prieskorn, Gage McDonald or Katie Biggar through social media to purchase one in advance.
