Two photography students took home individual awards from a national journalism convention in Dallas, Texas.

Senior Anna Kate Jordan received Excellent in Portrait Photography and junior Kaitlyn Gordon received Honorable Mention in Sports Action Photography.

Jordan and Gordon, along with sophomore Emilee Slayton, traveled with advisers Clint Smith and Rebecca Potter to the Journalism Education Association/National Scholastic Press Association national convention Nov. 16-19.

The “Tiger Times” print newspaper was named an NSPA Pacemaker Finalist and received second place in Best of Show. The “Tiger” yearbook received first place in Best of Show.
