The following students participated in the Pre-Area auditions on Nov. 18 at East Texas Baptist University in Marshall: Meaghan Dickson, third chair, Soprano 1; Chelsea Fowler, first chair, Alto 1; and Hannah Green, first alternate, Alto 2.

These students will be advancing to the Area Choir auditions on Jan. 8 at Texas A & M-Commerce. A student who wins at the next audition will be a member of the Texas All-State Choir.

“It is a great honor to make it to this round of auditions,” choir director Vickie Al-Dubais said. “Only five students were chosen from this contest to attend the next audition. More than 20,000 students begin the Texas All-State Choir process in October.”
