This past week of the NFL was action-packed. Here’s three key points from week nine.

Fights, Fights, and More Fights:

UFC or NFL? Audiences couldn’t tell what they were watching during week nine. There were multiple fights that spanned across three games, resulting in five players being ejected.

The players who were ejected were: the Bengals’ A.J. Green, the Jaguars’ Jalen Ramsey, the 49ers’ Carlos Hyde and the Cardinals’ Frostee Rucker and Haason Reddick.

One of these fights was between the New Orleans Saints and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. This fight was pretty controversial due to the fact that the main player involved, Tampa Bay Wide-Receiver, Mike Evans, wasn’t ejected from the game. However, he was later charged with a one-game-suspension because of his actions.

With tempers flaring, we may see even more fights in these upcoming weeks.

Philadelphia Eagles Are Soaring:

The Philadelphia Eagles have totaled eight wins and one loss and are currently the best team in the NFL. Led by quarterback, Carson Wentz, the Eagles have defied the odds despite what everyone thought about them before the season began.

However, I myself am a skeptic of these Eagles.

The 8 wins that the Eagles have acquired, except for the Carolina Panthers, have all come from teams with a win percentage of .500 or below which means the teams they beat have only won half, or less than half, of their games.

While the Eagles are good, they haven’t proven much by beating these lower-tier teams. We will find out if they’re the real deal in these last seven games of their season, where they will face four teams who are above the .500 mark.

The New Orleans Saints Are a Threat In the NFC:

The New Orleans Saints, led by future hall-of-famer Drew Brees, have gotten six wins with only two losses and are currently leading their division.

Despite trading their best receiver, Brandin Cooks, to the New England Patriots, the Saints’ offense hasn’t faltered. Although when you have a quarterback as good as Brees, this feat is to be expected.

The Saints have dramatically improved their defense, especially with the acquiring of rookie Marshon Lattimore who has played terrifically and is a probable candidate for the defensive rookie of the year award.

New Orleans is a force to be reckoned with and will most definitely be a threat in the NFC playoffs.
