The Lady Tigers’ basketball team defeated the Greenville Lions in district play with a 72-24 victory on Friday, Jan. 12.

One of the highlights was watching the Lady Tigers advancing their win streak throughout the game.

“The fourth quarter brought the most confidence in the team because they were demolishing the other team continuously,” team manager Chase Walker said.

Many players have sought to continue their victories through a more intense workout and bringing a more in depth team effort during practices.

“This season, we’ve been taking more of a direct approach of breaking down our routine,” junior Nia Wilson said. “Our team chemistry has definitely grown a lot more this year.”

Relentless endeavours are looked at as obstacles ready to be overcome with the team’s conviction in maintaining good conditioning workouts.

“We knew from the start that we had to win the game to keep our win streak going, so we were actively and intensely working hard to defeat the other team,” Wilson said.

Confidence is key is the mantra adopted by the team and will continue to bring the Tigers the victory they shoot after throughout the course of the season.

“With all of the wins during the beginning of this season, I’m confident that the girls will be undefeated this season,” Walker said.
