A Bowie County grand jury indicted former Texas High School coach Te’Vailance Hunt on May 7, 2026, for online solicitation of a minor, a second degree felony offense. If convicted, Hunt faces between two to ten years in prison along with a fine up to $10,000.
Police arrested 26-year-old Te’Vailance Hunt on Dec. 3, 2025, after school officials notified police of an alleged inappropriate relationship between a 16-year-old female student and Hunt. The former Texas High School football standout-turned coach is currently out of jail on a $100,000 bond.
The probable cause affidavit obtained from the Bowie County District Clerk’s offices shows that through the use of social media, Hunt is accused of requesting inappropriate behaviors and nude photographs of the student. In messages to the student, Hunt commented on the student’s looks, further asked about her sexual experiences and attempted to coerce her to meet with him on two separate occasions in November 2025.
Police verified the victim’s claims using evidence obtained from search warrants of the victim’s and Hunt’s social media accounts.
