Texarkana is busting with new fast food places and caloric chain restaurants, so stay healthy at a few local gyms

Being healthy and getting fit can be a struggle, especially if you have no idea where to start. Your mom’s Pilates tapes from the ’90s can only get you so far. Fortunately, Texarkana has plenty of places in town that can help you get started and stay active.

Gold’s Gym Express:

Cost- There are two payment rates depending on what plan the consumer is interested in. If you only desire a basic workout plan, the $15 per month payment is just what you’re looking for. If you want upper level treatment and access, including massage chair passes and other benefits, you might want to take a look at the $20 per month plan. Keep in mind that you still have to pay a $26 down payment for your first month.

Features- Gold’s is known for its modern feel. With a cardio cinema, massage chairs, access to a juice bar, and TV screens all around, it’s not hard to get caught up in the exercise hype of this express gym.

Bimini Yoga and Fitness:

Cost- There are several different payment plans that can fit any budget. For just a drop in class, the price is $10. Bimini also offers a multitude passes that include a five class pass for $40, a one month pass for $75, a six month pass for $60 and a one year pass for $50.

Features- Bimini has a wide variety of group classes and personal training. From hot yoga to piloxing, this workout venue has it all. Bimini also has many class instructors that give a sense of familiarity and one-on-one assistance wherever it is needed.

Legends:

Cost- The costs of attending this gym vary from $24.95 for a 12 month plan to $29.95 open ended month-to-month plan. Both options require a $29 enrollment fee.

Features- Legends offers the usual workout benefits of a typical gym and more. They have personal training, specialty nutrition programs, a smoothie bar and group classes. This gym also takes special measures to make sure you get the privacy you want, including optional separate women’s and men’s sections.

Minton’s Sportsplex:

Cost- Membership options for this gym include prices that start from $20 and go up from there depending on what plan you are interested in. Mintons also offers price consultations with management if you’re interested in finding the perfect plan for your budget.

Features- This “sportsplex” is not just a gym. It includes not only extensive workout equipment, but also a play place for kids, basketball and sand volleyball court, child-friendly “fun pool” and regular pool, etc.

Anytime Fitness:

Cost- Anytime offers payments plans that won’t break the bank. For a one year commitment the price is $39 while a two year commitment is $29.

Features- This gym is always open 24/7 for convenient access. Anytime provides personal training, tanning, and more options for their customers. It’s easy to work out on your terms with its laid back atmosphere and easy access.
