Lights showered over a crowd of fans as the well-known artist sang his last song of the night. The fans screamed with love and admiration in response to Harry Styles’ emotional display of music, unaware that this show would mark his last performance for the next three years.
In the early 2010s, Styles obtained membership in a group called One Direction, the first boy band to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Their presence in the media influenced artist and fan relationships until their eventual split.
Styles toured the world, even singing some of his songs in other languages to market towards his international fans. His love for breaking gender norms, his commitment to inclusivity for all fans and his uplifting message in the song “Treat People With Kindness” on his second album made him a lovable person to people of many generations.
Styles’ first album after the split of One Direction, “Harry Styles,” got nominated for the Gaffa Awards. A couple of years later, he released the album “Fine Line,” earning multiple awards for individual songs on the album in addition to a Grammy nomination. Finally, his most recent album, “Harry’s House,” won over 10 major awards, his most popular song on the album being “As it Was,” spending 15 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.
After being on tour for 22 months, Styles decided to take a break from the spotlight after “Love On Tour” concluded in July 2023. Many fans were devastated to hear the news, reminiscing about his random posts on Instagram and various covers of popular songs, yet they understood that the ending of a chapter meant the transition to a new beginning.
In December 2025, Styles posted a video titled “Forever, Forever” on YouTube of his fans singing during one of his many concerts. He ended it with a cryptic message saying “WE BELONG TOGETHER.” Many fans expressed differing opinions on whether this confirmed a new comeback or if it was just a random post. Luckily for them, he announced his long-awaited album after nearly three years.
On Jan. 15, 2026, fans around the world were surprised to see a notification appear from Styles’ once-abandoned Instagram account. This post confirmed his upcoming album “Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally,” set to be released on Mar. 6, 2026.
Fans flooded all social media platforms, expressing utmost excitement for the new album. Many grew up with Styles, as well as the other One Direction members, so many followers felt as if a close friend returned after a much-anticipated wait.
Styles released a song titled “Aperture” on Jan. 22, 2026, giving his fans metaphorical breadcrumbs as they await the rest of the new album.
Though fans of Styles’ feel unsure in regards to what will come in the future, they feel united in their sense of anticipation for his upcoming album.
