About the Contributors
Rece Beaird, Podcast Manager, Photographer
Rece Beaird is a junior at Texas High School. Beaird has been involved in publications for three years as a photographer and podcast manager. Beaird participates in Quill and Scroll, Rosebuds, Key Club, and the Lady Tigers Soccer team. She plans to attend UT Arlington, majoring in pre-law and minoring in broadcasting. While Beaird isn’t at school, she is saving the night with her partner in crime, Leighton Kelems. Beaird is already counting down the days until she graduates, just over 600 days to go.
Leah Crow, Photographer
Leah Crow is a junior at Texas High School and returning for her second year on the publications staff as a visual journalist and also a first year staff member of Yearbook. She has a strong passion for storytelling through photography and has received recognition at both the state and national levels for her work. Leah is also a proud member of the Texas Imagemaker Team, which honors the top student photographers in Texas. Outside of publications, she enjoys spending time with friends, playing softball, listening to music, and learning new things. Leah is excited to continue growing as a photojournalist and capturing the moments that make this year special.
Leighton Kelems, Copy Editor
Leighton Kelems returns to room 50B as a fan favorite member of Tiger Times Online. With her newly acquired promotion to Copy Editor, she is prepared (hopefully) to spend whatever free time she can scrounge up after work perfecting stories to be Pacemaker-worthy. When she’s not at school, Ironwood, or extending her mile-long TBR at Books-A-Million, you can find her soaring through the night skies with her partner in crime, Rece Beaird. While battling through weeks worth of homework, surviving on 600 mg of caffeine and a handful of Goldfish alone, Kelems blasts the incomparable masterpieces of Billy Joel’s album,“The Stranger”, day in and day out. As for after high school? Still a work-in-progress, but hopes and dreams of analyzing people for a living remain a top dog bucket list item as college tours loom overhead.
