Welcome to CTE
Texas High is home to a number of courses aimed at preparing students for future careers. From construction to culinary, there’s a CTE class for everyone considering a more hands-on job.
While it’s true that this kind of education isn’t possible for all careers, the CTE courses that are offered give students a chance to get a job straight out of high school or prepare them for the challenges they could potentially face in college.
Due to the nature of the courses being taught, oftentimes it’s difficult to find someone qualified to teach these trades. This is why these teachers are so valued here at Texas High; the CTE program would not be possible without their dedication and persistence, even when faced with the most challenging of students.
With the passage of Proposition B, the CTE program will only continue to grow and provide new directions for all students willing to follow the path.
