Dairy consumption decreases

From 2010 to 2019 the amount of milk sold in the U.S went from 50 billion to 47.7, a decrease that has many milk farmers worried, as well as bankrupt. However this fall in dairy milk sales may be due to the new trend and rise in sales of  plant-based milk. Numerous coffee shops in fact use plant-based milks instead of the traditional dairy option, a leading component in this dairy milk sale drop. Another reason for this drop may be because of a lot of new health scares and health conscious people for different drink options. Whatever the reason is it is is causing the 13% decrease in milk sales and leaving some milk farmers bankrupt.
