Fall TV favorites

Don’t miss new seasons of popular shows

Story by Kristin McCasland, staff writer

It’s fall again, and we all know what that means––new seasons of television shows. This year, great new episodes are being released for some very popular programs.

The Big Bang Theory

BIG BANG THEORYThe Big Bang Theory is a sitcom about four nerdy scientists and their daily lives. It may not sound like a great plot, but after one episode, you will be hooked. The seventh season just started several weeks ago, and it comes on every Thursday on CBS at 7 p.m.

Pretty Little Liars

Pretty Little Liars is a television show based on a book series by Sara Shepard. However, the television series goes beyond the eight novels. It is about four friends who get mysterious and threatening messages from unnamed characters who call themselves “A”. Season Four started in June and goes through March, so anyone who hasn’t already been watching has a bit of catching up to do. The show comes on Tuesdays at 7 p.m. on ABC Family.

American Horror Story: Coven

In the chilling TV show American Horror Story, each season is completely different from the last, including all new characters and plots. This season is about a school for young witches in New Orleans. For those of you bold enough to watch, it comes on FX at 10 p.m. on Wednesdays.

Once Upon a Time

Once Upon  a Time is my personal favorite from this list. The show takes every fairy tale character you know and love and puts them into our world in a small town called Storybrooke, Maine. Through flashbacks, a character’s past is revealed to the audience. Most of the time, their stories are quite different from the Disney version and will keep you guessing. The third season started two weeks ago, and it shows on ABC at 7 p.m. every Sunday.

The Walking Dead

The Walking Dead is about a small group of people who are living after the zombie apocalypse and their efforts to survive against the odds. If you’re in to rotting dead people, I would recommend this show for you. After all, it did start the whole zombie craze. Season Four started on Oct. 13 and will show every Sunday at 8 p.m. on AMC.
