Senior English teacher Ryan Murry is known for her creative methods of teaching. We asked her five not-so-serious questions in attempt to get to know her a little more.
1. What animal is most like you? Why?
I am quite fond of the killer whale, an orca by any other name. It is considered a marine mammal, so I think it fits the question. It looks stunning with its black and white coloring, swims all day long, eats what it wants…yes, I would definitely say that a killer whale would be my choice for the best animal. What a life!
2. If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?
I have given this topic a great deal of thought (after all, I am a big X-Men fan). I would choose to be like Aqua-woman. I could swim and breath underwater, play with the whales. Wait a minute…I think I see a pattern starting here. Maybe I should have said to fly like Superman.
3. If given the opportunity to pursue any job/career for 3 months, what would you do?
I would choose to be a rock star for 3 months.
4. What is your favorite high school memory?
High school memory? I can’t remember back that far.
5. If you were a member of a band or musical group, which would it be and why?
Ahh. No question. If they had accepted girls, I would have been a member of the Beatles. The music spoke to many generations.
