Prom tickets on sale now

Story by Caroline May, staff reporter

Prom tickets are on sale in the cafeteria for seniors wanting to attend. The theme this year will be “The Time of Our Lives.” Tickets purchased before April 3 will be $40 per person, and tickets purchased after that date will be $50 per person.

A deposit of $5 per ticket will hold the price that is in effect on the date the deposit is made. The tickets may be paid for in weekly payments and can be made on Tuesday and Thursday during lunch in the cafeteria.

Tickets must be paid fully by April 3 to receive an extra $500 in Tiger Bucks to spend during Auction at Project Celebration. All tickets must be paid in full by April 24 to attend Prom/Project Celebration. There will be no tickets sold at the door.

Tickets will only be sold to seniors enrolled at Texas High School. If a student intends on bringing a non-THS senior to the dance, the student may buy the ticket for their date. However, the student must also complete a form, turn it in by April 10, and have it approved by administration before their date can attend. Forms will be available where tickets are being sold.

Only Texas High School enrolled seniors may attend with their dates. If a student withdraws from Texas High, they are eligible for a refund until April 24. Any requests for refunds can be made to the member of the Prom Committee selling tickets that day.

The purchase of a ticket allows the student to attend the dance at Truman Arnold Center on May 3 from 8 p.m. to midnight and Project Celebration at Tiger Center from 1 a.m. to 4 a.m. on May 4. The student may attend either event or both.
