Students from the Future Farmers of America traveled to the Fort Worth Livestock Show on Jan. 11. The award show was later in the weekend, with sophomore FFA member Blake Bergagnini winning a blue ribbon in the shop table division.

“We built a table that was adjustable for the workshop,” Bergagnini said. “I had to present it, talk about what all work went into it, how we built it and what it’s capable of working with.”

Bergagnini has also won awards during the previous Four States Fair and Rodeo in September.

“I didnt even think about winning it,” Bergagnini said. “I just went in to see what everyone else made. I feel pretty excited and I feel like I could do something else.”

The next competition will be held in San Antonio from Feb. 8 through the 25.
