College football preview for the weekend

College+football+preview+for+the+weekend

There will be no shortage of excitement for college football fans this weekend, as there are numerous big games to enjoy. But, as is always the case in football, we may be in for a few surprises.

(1) Alabama at Missouri: The Tigers are starting to get used to the difficulty of the SEC, but Alabama is going to be more than Missouri can handle. Missouri’s explosive offense will have little success against the power of the Crimson Tide defense. The Tide will be able to coast through this game with ease.
My prediction: Alabama- 52; Missouri- 10

(3) South Carolina at (9) LSU: This will be the game of the week. South Carolina is coming off of a huge victory against the powerful Georgia Bulldogs, while the Tigers earned their first loss of the season against the Florida Gators. LSU is hurt all over the field and will have difficulty on offense against a stiff Gamecock defense. Despite their injuries, the Tigers are at home and should come away with a win.
My prediction: South Carolina- 17; LSU- 20

(15) Texas vs (13) Oklahoma: The Longhorns are better than they’ve been for a long time, while the Sooners are the exact opposite. The Oklahoma offense, specifically Landry Jones, has been disappointing. Texas, on the other hand, looks like a new team. Even though they lost to West Virginia, I expect the Longhorns to pull this one out.
My prediction: Texas- 31; Oklahoma- 24

Sure, there are other good games on television this weekend, but these are certainly must-sees. If you’re a true fan of the game, you’ll be sitting down with a drink and some snacks to enjoy some football.
