At the University of Texas at Austin, the Tigersharks made their mark as they destroyed the waters at the annual 4A and Under Swimming State Meet.

To start the day off right, the girls medley relay team that consisted of Ashton Latham, Madeleine Pellegrin, Kristen McCasland, and Amy McCoy finished 4th in the state. The meet continued to Nick Sehy completing the 200 Freestyle in 14th place. Shortly after, Amy McCoy also touched 14th in the 50 Freestyle.

As the attention shifted from the racing the racing pool to the diving tank for Ann Marie Hilborn’s 12th place finish in the girls 1 meter diving. Shortly afterwards Calvin Lourens and Walker Lambert finished 13th and 14th in boys’ diving.

The attention changed back to the main pool for the conclusion of the swimming races. Chris Radomski finished 8th in the 100 Butterfly. Right after, Amy McCoy’s 15th place finished in the 100 freestyle, Nick Sehy finished 14th on the guys’ side of the 100 Freestyle. A 200 freestyle relay team of Chris Radomski, Brennan Hile, Rusty Anglin, and Nick Sehy finished 11th. Shortly after, Ashton Latham finished 16th in the 100 Backstroke. Next was the boys’ 100 Breaststroke where Zachary Baker finished 1st. The girls 400 freestyle relay finished 13th to finish off the meet.

Due to a few early starts the guys 200 medley relay (Zack Norton, Zachary Baker, Chris Radomski and Davis Payne), and the guys 400 freestyle relay (Chris Radomski, Zachary Baker, Brennan Hile and Nick Sehy) were disqualified. Madeleine Pellegrin had a small technical difficulty which resulted in a disqualification in the girls 100 Breaststroke. Other than those few set backs, the Tigersharks finished 16th overall in the state with 104.5 Points. The guys finished 14th with 56 points, and the girls finished 13th with 48.5.
