Texas High’s swim team won overall at the annual Northeast Tisca Invite on Nov. 24. The girls and boys combined finished with 10 gold medal winners. The Tigersharks travel to Frisco this weekend for Frisco’s TISCA Invitational.

Of the finishers, senior Chris Radomski won all four events that he was in. Radomski broke the meet record in the 100 yard fly and 50 freestyle while winning the races.

“It felt pretty good to see some of my hard work actually pay off,” Radomski said. “I was proud of myself, and when I looked up and saw my team cheering for me, it made me proud to be able to represent the tigersharks and lead the team as a captain this year.”

The winning feelings were also spread to the Lady Tigersharks with senior Ashton Latham winning the 100 yard backstroke.

“I was very excited to win with it being my last TISCA home meet,” Latham said. “I was even more excited at the fact that my fellow Tigersharks finished second and third behind and stand on the podium with them.”

Latham was also joined in the 100 back with freshman Alex Jones, second place and junior Oralia Basurto, third place.

“It was an amazing feeling to be second in the 100 back,” Jones said. “I’m apart of a great group of backstroke, and I couldn’t have had a better first TISCA meet experience than being up there with my fellow teammates.”

Adding to the experiences, the boys’ relays also had two gold finishes, 200 medley relay and 200 freestyle relay and one silver finish, 400 free relay. The members included Radomski, senior Zac Baker, senior Josh Klein, junior Zach Norton. The 400 free relay included Klein, Norton, senior Brennan Hile and sophomore Tyler Snell.

“The relays did really well, and it was our best performance so far,” Norton said. “I think we have a really good chance of beating Frisco.”
