The golf team competed in the regional tournament on April 23 and 24 at the Rockwall Golf and Athletic Club. The Tigers finished in sixth place while the Highland Park Scots won the tournament with a score of 289 on the first day and 284 on the second.

“We did the best that we could have done,” sophomore Will Patterson said. “Our team accomplished our goal of getting to regionals.”

The team was relatively young this year which should bode well for the future.

“Matt and I were the only returning members of the team,” Patterson said. “However, we got along really well with the freshman and were able to teach them some things.”

Scores for the event were as follows:

Day 1 Team Score – 315

Day 2 Team Score – 315

Matt Prieskorn, senior – 76 74

Will Patterson, sophomore – 79 79

Carter Maneth, freshman – 80 80

Camden Robertson, freshman – 80 82

Nic Kane, junior – 92 84
