Prom moms hold weekly fundraisers

Cardboard tigers attack the neighborhoods. The smell of brownies fills the hallways. Prom Moms are in a frenzy to raise money for the 2016 Senior Prom.

Prom will be held May 14, and Prom Moms have already hosted many fundraisers to raise money for the event including the Prom Drawdown and donation night at MOOYAH Burgers, Fries and Shakes. Prom Moms also sell brownies on Fridays during all lunches, put out Tiger Attack yard signs and will have another fundraiser night at Slim Chickens on March 3.
“We use our donations and money for ticket sales and spend wisely on decorations, food, music, entertainment, at Prom and Project Celebration and amazing prizes for the seniors at Project Celebration,” prom chairperson Rosemary Russell said. “Last year’s dedicated prom committee raised a lot of money and spent very wisely as we plan to also. They donated some to student scholarships and some for us to use this year.  We hope to do the same at the end of our year if we have funds left over.”
