Important dates for upcoming academic year

With summer coming to an end, parents and students must take note of the following dates so they can be sure to be prepared on the first day back to class.

All schedule pick-ups will be held in the Math & Science Center Grand Foyer, 4001 Summerhill Road. Juniors and Seniors will be able to pick up schedules on Aug. 9. Seniors may begin pick-up from 10:00 – 11:30 a.m. while juniors may pick theirs from 1:00 – 2:30 p.m. Sophomores may pick up schedules on Aug. 10, from 10:00 – 11:30 a.m.

During this time, students may speak with Academic Advisors, grab school ID’s, parking permits, bus passes and locker assignments.

Freshman will be officially introduced to the high school during Tiger Camp, the annual orientation. This will be held on Aug. 12 from 8:30 – 11:30 a.m. at the Sullivan Performing Arts Center & John Thomas Theatre, 3941 Summerhill Road.

Students may register from 8:30 – 9:00 a.m. While at Tiger Camp, students will speak with faculty and Academic Advisors, tour the campus, get information on bus passes, lunch forms, locker assignments and also receive student ID’s. They will also get to meet with student leaders on campus, and get to ask questions about the many organization and clubs THS has to offer. At the end of Tiger Camp there will be a THS Pep Rally.

On the other hand, parents will be able to attend an orientation on Aug. 12 from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. in the John Thomas Theatre.

Meet the Teacher Night will be held on Aug. 14 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Students and parents can take this time to become familiar with the teachers, Academic Advisors and the campus.

Classes begin on Aug. 21.
