During auditions held on Dec. 6 in Mt. Pleasant, 10 freshman band students earned placement in the Region IV Freshman All-Region Band.

They are: Ashley Wood – 1st Chair Flute; Madison Norton – 2nd Chair Trumpet; Shelby Powers – 3rd Chair Trumpet; Kirsten Reed – 3rd Chair Euphonium; Kasie Rigsby – 3rd Chair Flute; Luke Loe – 4th Chair French Horn; Quanyetta Wrightner – 4th Chair Flute; Tiaira Sanders – 5th Chair Euphonium; Bradley Baird – 7th Chair Percussion; Karla Penate – 11th Chair Clarinet.

As part of their selection, these students participated in a clinic/concert hosted by TISD in the John Thomas Theatre of the Sullivan Performing Arts Center Dec. 11. This concert combined with the high school All-Region Jazz Band and the middle school All-Region Band concerts held the same day.
